,%20and%20the%20decorations%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ewere%20all%20decorated%20with%20leaves,%20whether%20paper%20or%20made%20of%20fondant.%20Fall%20is%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eprobably%20my%20favorite%20time%20of%20year%20because%20it's%20cold%20enough%20(usually)%20that%20I%20can%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ewear%20sweaters,%20but%20not%20usually%20so%20cold%20that%20I%20have%20to%20wear%20hats,%20gloves,%20and%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eboots.%20Fires%20in%20the%20fireplace%20are%20nice%20too!%20The%20leaves%20outside%20are%20turning%20to%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ebright%20shades%20of%20orange%20and%20yellow%20and%20the%20time%20%22changes%22%20so%20it%20gets%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Edark%20earlier.%20Of%20course%20the%20getting%20dark%20earlier%20really%20messes%20with%20me%20baking%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ein%20the%20evening%20and%20taking%20pictures%20that%20are%20even%20worth%20talking%20about.%20I%20really%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eneed%20to%20get%20in%20the%20habit%20of%20baking%20in%20the%20morning.%20I%20actually%20love%20morning%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ebaking.%20When%20I%20was%20a%20baker%20professionally%20I%20was%20a%20real%20morning%20person%20(not%20for%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ethe%20first%2030%20minutes%20or%20so%20though)%20and%20I%20like%20the%20quiet%20that%20comes%20with%20the%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Estart%20of%20the%20day.%20Occasionally%20I%20used%20to%20wake%20up%20earlyish%20(sure,%20that's%20a%20word)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eat%20home%20and%20bake%20something%20because%20then%20I%20also%20feel%20like%20I'm%20accomplishing%20more%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ethroughout%20the%20day.%20Baking%20in%20the%20evening%20makes%20me%20feel%20behind.%20I%20don't%20know%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ewhat%20any%20of%20this%20has%20to%20do%20with%20the%20post,%20just%20some%20thoughts%20I%20suppose.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20was%20trying%20to%20think%20of%20other%20things%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ethat%20could%20be%20done%20to%20these%20cute%20little%20leaves%20because%20you%20all%20know%20I%20love%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ecustomizing%20recipes.%20I%20was%20thinking%20a%20little%20ginger%20or%20cloves%20might%20be%20a%20nice%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eaddition%20or%20some%20mini%20chocolate%20chips!%20Maybe%20some%20orange%20zest%20might%20be%20complimentary%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Etoo.%20I'm%20sure%20that%20there%20are%20tons%20of%20ways%20to%20make%20these%20cookies%20even%20more%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Especial,%20but%20I%20love%20them%20just%20the%20way%20they%20are.%20Try%20them%20out%20and%20let%20me%20know%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ewhat%20you%20think!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECinnamon%20Sugar%20Leaves%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDirections:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1.%20Preheat%20oven%20to%20400F.%20In%20a%20food%20processor%20blend%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Etogether%20the%20flour%20and%20salt.%20Add%20butter%20and%20process%20using%20pulse%20until%20crumbs%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eare%20about%20the%20size%20of%20peas,%20about%2010-15%20pulses.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2.%20Mix%20together%20the%20egg,%20vinegar,%20and%20water%20in%20a%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ebowl.%20Add%20the%20liquid%20mixture%20through%20the%20feed%20while%20pulsing%20the%20processor.%20Do%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Enot%20run%20the%20processor%20%E2%80%9Con%E2%80%9D%20while%20adding%20liquid%20because%20you%20need%20to%20be%20very%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ecareful%20to%20not%20overmix%20the%20dough%20then%20it%20will%20be%20tough,%20that%E2%80%99s%20why%20I%20only%20use%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%E2%80%9Cpulse%E2%80%9D%20when%20making%20this%20dough.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E3.%20Once%20the%20mixture%20is%20almost%20together%20with%20just%20a%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Efew%20dry%20crumbs%20in%20the%20bowl%20then%20turn%20it%20out%20onto%20a%20cutting%20board%20and%20gently%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ework%20it%20into%20a%20ball%20with%20a%20few%20turns%20of%20the%20dough.%20If%20necessary,%20refrigerate%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Efor%2030%20minutes%20to%20firm%20up%20dough.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E4.%20Roll%20dough%20out%20on%20a%20floured%20surface%20about%20%C2%BC%E2%80%9D%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ethick.%20Cut%20out%20leaf%20shapes%20or%20other%20shapes%20with%20cookie%20cutters.%20Gently%20place%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ethe%20shapes%20on%20a%20cookie%20sheet%20lined%20with%20parchment%20paper%20or%20a%20Silpat.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E5.%20In%20a%20small%20bowl,%20blend%20together%20the%20sugar%20and%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ecinnamon.%20Lightly%20spray%20the%20dough%20shapes%20on%20the%20cookie%20sheet%20with%20non-stick%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Espray,%20then%20sprinkle%20evenly%20with%20the%20cinnamon-sugar%20mixture.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E6.%20Bake%208-10%20minutes%20or%20until%20golden%20brown.%20Cool%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ecompletely.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20recipe%20may%20be%20linked%20up%20to:%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
