Ингредиенты

  • 1 1/4 c. boiling water
  • 4 Lipton's cinnamon apple herbal tea bags
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1/2 c. honey
  • 2 T butter
  • 1 egg
  • 3 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 T baking pwdr
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 c. minced walnuts
  • 1/2 c. powdered sugar

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In teapot, pour boiling water over tea bags. Cover and brew 5 min. Remove tea bags and reserve 2 tbsp of tea. In a large bowl, pour remaining tea over raisins, honey, and butter. Cool completely; beat in egg. In medium bowl, put together flour, baking pwdr, and salt. Gradually add in to tea mix, blending well after each addition. Stir in walnuts. Put into a greased and lightly floured 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan and bake 1 hour or possibly till bread tests done. On wire rack, cool 10 min; remove from pan and cool completely before glazing.Meanwhile, in small bowl, gradually add in reserved tea to powdered sugar till desired thickness; drizzle over bread. Makes about 8 servings.
