%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20soup%20is%20one%20of%20those%20%E2%80%98bung-it-in%E2%80%99%20dishes%20%E2%80%93%20my%20favourite%20type%20of%20dish%20and%20probably%20yours%20too,%20mainly%20because%20we%20can%20use%20up%20the%20odds%20and%20ends%20languishing%20in%20the%20fridge%20with%20rosy%20cheeked%20satisfaction.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20can%E2%80%99t%20really%20give%20you%20a%20definitive%20recipe,%20and%20that%20is%20the%20idea.%20But%20here%20is%20an%20idea%20to%20get%20you%20started.%20I%20would%20say%20%E2%80%98serves%20two%E2%80%99,%20but%20technically%20a%20soup%20never%20does,%20you%20always%20have%20to%20make%20lots%20and%20mine%20usually%20does%20three/four%20portion.%20It%20just%20means%20you%20get%20to%20enjoy%20it%20all%20over%20again%20for%20lunch.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EChunky%20chorizo%20and%20bean%20soup%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESweat%20one%20finely%20chopped%20white%20onion%20in%20oil%20until%20soft,%20add%20two%20cloves%20of%20garlic%20finely%20chopped%20and%20cook%20for%20a%20few%20minutes%20more.%20Add%20about%20half%20a%20long%20chorizo%20which%20you%20have%20cut%20into%20rings%20then%20cut%20in%20half%20again.%20Let%20it%20cook%20for%20a%20bit%20until%20you%20can%20see%20the%20vibrant%20red%20oil%20seeping%20out%20of%20it.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20one%20can%20of%20chopped%20tomatoes%20and%20500ml%20of%20chicken%20stock.%20Simmer%20for%2015%20minutes.%20Now%20add%20what%20you%20like:%20Some%20form%20of%20bean%20(my%20choice%20is%20canned%20cannellini%20beans%20or%20butter%20beans),%20then%20some%20seasonal%20vegetables.%20In%20the%20photo%20I%20used%20some%20French%20beans%20that%20I%20froze%20from%20my%20garden%20in%20the%20summer,%20but%20I%20like%20it%20with%20wilted%20Swiss%20chard%20or%20cavelo%20nero.%20Simmer%20to%20cook%20the%20vegetables%20through%20then%20serve%20with%20lots%20of%20crusty%20bread.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELike%20Loading...%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERelated%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
