  • 1 c. Plus 2 tblsp sugar
  • 3 x Large eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp Each lemon and vanila extract
  • 3 c. Sifted flour
  • 1/8 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp Baking soda

  1. Here's a nice Chrismasy recipe from Favorite Recipes of America.
  2. Cream shortening; gradually add in sugar, beating till smooth and creamy. Add in Large eggs and flavorings; beat thoroughly. Sift dry ingredients together. Add in to creamed mix. Set oven at 400 degrees. Roll dough 1/8-inch thick on well-floured board. Cut into star shape with cookie cutter. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 6 to 8 min.
  3. Yield: 4 dozen cookies. (Mynote: Looks really pretty with different colored icings too.)
