%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20last%20Saturday,%20whilst%20deciding%20what%20to%20make%20for%20supper%20and%20rummaging%20through%20the%20cupboards%20muttering%20under%20my%20breath%20the%20words%20de-cluttering%20after%20decanting%20half%20the%20stuff%20on%20to%20my%20toes,%20I%20stumbled%20across%20a%20couple%20of%20boxes%20of%20lasagne%20sheets%20and%20decided%20it%20was%20to%20be%20lasagne.%20Except%20I%20had%20pretty%20much%20everything%20bar%20a%20pack%20of%20beef%20mince.%20So%20experimental%20lasagne%20it%20became%20again!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20are%20a%20fully%20signed%20up%20club%20chorizo%20lovers%20and%20I%20decided%20to%20base%20it%20around%20that%20flavour%20wise,%20then%20pretty%20much%20make%20it%20up%20as%20I%20went%20along%20for%20the%20rest!%20Overall%20I%20have%20declared%20it%20as%20the%20best%20lasagne%20I%20have%20ever%20had,%20it%20tasted%20just%20so,%20so%20good!%20Meaty,%20a%20little%20spicy,%20rich%20and%20packed%20with%20flavour,%20what%20more%20can%20you%20want?%20Oh%20and%20for%20the%20lasagne%20purists%20out%20there%20this%20is%20not%20Italian%20or%20meant%20to%20be%20in%20anyway.%20Its%20just%20darn%20delicious!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAs%20always%20with%20my%20meals%20I%20love%20a%20bit%20of%20yellow%20sticker%20hunting%20and%20managed%20to%20sneak%20a%20few%20bargains%20into%20the%20lasagne!%20We%20love%20kale%20and%20after%20getting%20a%20bag%20for%20a%20mere%207p%20it%20seemed%20idea%20to%20add,%20the%20iron-ey%20rich%20greens%20really%20do%20add%20an%20extra%20layer%20of%20flavour%20and%20my%20cheese%20was%20a%20steal%20too%20at%2025p!%20I%20bought%20about%206%20packets%20a%20few%20weeks%20back%20and%20froze%20them,%20they%20are%20no%20use%20for%20the%20cheeseboard%20but%20perfect%20for%20any%20baked%20dishes!%20I%20also%20used%20a%20basic%20mozzarella%20to%20keep%20it%20more%20cost%20effective%20too,%20and%20the%20mince%20was%20on%20special!%20Oh%20and%20my%20thyme%20plant%20was%20only%2013p%20too!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETime:%20About%202%20hours%20including%20cooking%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EServes%206-8%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYou%20will%20need%20a%20large%20roasting%20pan-%20mine%20is%2026x30cm%20(AKA%20trusty%20traybake%20tine).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1)%20Heat%20a%20glug%20of%20olive%20oil%20in%20a%20large%20saute%20pan,%20gently%20fry%20the%20onion%20for%20about%204%20minutes%20stir%20in%20the%20peppers,%20chorizo%20and%20garlic,%20fry%20until%20the%20chorizo%20starts%20to%20leak%20its%20lovely%20orange%20oil,%20add%20the%20pork%20mince%20and%20break%20up%20with%20a%20wooden%20spatula%20or%20similar%20item%20until%20browned.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2)%20Add%20the%20fresh%20tomatoes%20and%20tinned%20tomatoes,%20then%20reduce%20heat%20and%20simmer%20for%2030%20minutes,%20stir%20through%20the%20thyme%20leaves.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E3)%20Meanwhile%20boil%20the%20kale%20in%20a%20saucepan%20for%20two%20minutes,%20drain%20keeping%20back%20400ml%20of%20the%20cooking%20liquid.%20Soak%20the%20lasagne%20sheets%20in%20water%20for%2015%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E4)%20Add%20200ml%20of%20the%20milk%20and%20200ml%20of%20the%20kale%20water%20to%20the%20chorizo%20pan%20and%20season%20with%20salt%20and%20pepper%20and%20simmer%20over%20a%20moderate%20heat%20for%20a%20further%2010%20minutes.%20You%20need%20a%20relatively%20sloppy%20mixture.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E5)%20Pre-heat%20oven%20to%20190o.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E6)%20Place%20%20two%20scoops%20of%20the%20mince%20mixture%20in%20the%20bottom%20of%20the%20roasting%20dish,%20cover%20with%20prepared%20lasagne%20sheets,%20followed%20by%20half%20the%20remaining%20mince%20mixture%20and%20a%20little%20of%20the%20mozzarella.%20Scatter%20over%20the%20kale%20to%20form%20a%20layer.%20Top%20with%204%20lasagne%20sheets,%20then%20remaining%20mince%20mix,%20and%20final%20layer%20of%20lasagne%20sheets.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E7)%20In%20the%20now%20empty%20pan,%20add%20the%20remaining%20milk%20and%20kale%20water,%20bring%20to%20the%20boil%20scraping%20down%20any%20of%20the%20remaining%20pan%20juices,%20slacken%20the%20cornflour%20with%20a%20little%20water%20then%20whisk%20in%20until%20thickened,%20simmer%20for%20a%20minute%20then%20remove%20from%20the%20heat.%20Spread%20over%20the%20lasagne,%20sprinkle%20over%20the%20last%20of%20the%20mozzarella%20and%20cheese%20and%20a%20couple%20of%20thyme%20leaves.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E8)%20Bake%20for%2040-45%20minutes,%20or%20until%20golden,%20lovely%20and%20bubbling.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20could%20pretend%20I%20served%20a%20nice%20green%20salad,%20which%20would%20be%20lovely%20but%20we%20had%20garlic%20bread%20instead!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
