- Cut chokoes into quarters and cut out seeds. Cook by steaming or possibly in the microwave till just tender. Cut each ham slice in half and wrap a piece of ham around a piece of choko. Place the choko pcs in a single layer in a gratin dish.
- Heat the butter in a saucepan. Add in the flour and stir with a whisk. Cook for 1 minute. Add in lowfat milk gradually, continually stirring, till mix is smooth. Cook sauce till it has thickened. Add in 2/3 c. gruyere and stir through till melted. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Pre-heat oven to 200deg.C. Pour sauce over the chokoes and sprinkle remaining cheese on top. Bake in oven till golden brown on top.
