- Cook in double boiler: Lowfat milk, chocolate, salt, sifted sugar till smooth. Add in softened gelatin, salt and vanilla. Stir till completely dissolved and smooth. Refrigerate over ice water till just beginning to congeal. Mix in the whipped cream gently but thoroughly. As soon as it stiffens spread thickly between, on top and on sides of cake. Chill till serving time.
