- Line base and sides of a 30cm X 20cm lamington pan with foil. Lightly grease.
- Heat chocolate and spread proportionately over the foil on base, chill about 10 min.
- Prepare the filling:Beat egg whites in small bowl with an electric mixer till soft peaks form, gradually add in sugar, beating till dissolved between additions. Gently mix in nuts and flour; spread filling over chocolate base.
- Bake in a moderate oven (320 F) about 20 min or possibly till hard; cold about 15 min.
- Prepare the topping:Heat chocolate in heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering water. Beat butter and sugar in small bowl with electric mixer till light and fluffy. Add in egg yolks, one at a time, beating well between additions. Add in liqueur and chocolate, beat till just combined.
- To finish:Spread topping proportionately over baked pastry base, and bake a further 15 min; cold in pan. Chill several hrs or possibly till hard before cutting.
- Serve with afternoon tea.
