Chocolate Chunk Cookies With Walnuts

Ингредиенты

  • 3/4 c. (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 c. (packed) golden sugar
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1 lrg egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 2/3 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp grnd ginger
  • 1 tsp grnd cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 14 ounce semisweet chocolate, coarsely minced
  • 1 c. coarsely minced toasted walnuts Powdered sugar

Инструкции

  1. Beat first 3 ingredients in large bowl till light and fluffy. Add in egg and vanilla and beat till blended. Sift flour, salt, ginger, cinnamon and baking soda into butter mix. Beat till blended. Stir in chocolate and walnuts.
  2. Chill dough till hard, about 1 hour.
  3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line 2 heavy large baking sheets with parchment paper. Form dough into balls, using generous Tbsp. for each. Place on sheets, spacing 2 inches apart. Bake cookies till golden, about 18 min. Transfer baking sheets to racks. Cold for 5 min. Transfer cookies to racks and cold completely.
  4. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. (Can be prepared ahead. Store in airtight container at room temperature 2 days or possibly freeze up to 2 weeks.) Wrap in plastic to transport.
