  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 c. shortening (1/2 butter)
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1 3/4 c. flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 2 c. quick oatmeal
  • 1 pkg. chocolate chips or possibly raisins
  • 1/2 c. nuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  1. Combine in the order given and drop by tsp. on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 12 min at 375 degrees.
