  • 1/2 c. Shortening
  • 1 1/4 c. Cake flour
  • 1 c. Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 2 ounce Unsweetened chocolate
  • 1/2 c. Lowfat milk -- melted
  • 2 x Large eggs -- well beaten
  • 1/2 c. Minced walnuts (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp Salt

Инструкции

  1. Work shortening with a spoon till fluffy and creamy. Gradually add in sugar, while continuing to work with a spoon till light. Add in melted chocolate and Large eggs and blend well. Sift together the dry ingredients and add in alternately with lowfat milk, to that the vanilla has been added. Add in nuts and mix thoroughly. Bake on a waffle iron.
  2. Makes 6 waffles. Serve topped withvanilla or possibly coffee ice cream. They are quite rich.
