- For shell: Beat egg whites with salt and cream of tartar till foamy. Add in sugar, 2 Tbsp. at a time, beating well after each addition. Continue beating till very stiff peaks form. Mix in vanilla and nuts. Spoon into a greased 8 inch pie pan to create shell, building up sides. Bake in preheated 300-degree oven for 50 to 55 min.
- For filling: Heat chocolate with water and remove from heat. Add in vanilla and cold. Whip cream and mix in chocolate mix. Spoon into cooled shell and chill for three hrs. Prepare the day you're serving it.
