..It%20was%20really%20bad%20n%20we%20both%20were%20down%20one%20after%20the%20other.:P,but%20was%20relieved%20to%20know%20that%20it%20had%20nothing%20to%20do%20with%20the%20scary%20flu%20stuff%20that%20we%20all%20dread%20of..Thanks%20for%20your%20TC%20messages%20n%20wishes,am%20good%20n%20healthy%20now..:)..but%20facing%20a%20major%20block%20as%20to%20how%20to%20drag%20myself%20back%20to%20blogging..almost%20lost%20touch%20with%20the%20whole%20thing..I%20haven't%20checked%20out%20any%20blogs%20in%20a%20while%20as%20well..Hope%20you%20all%20had%20a%20great%20Diwali%20n%20had%20an%20overdose%20of%20sweets..:)..I%20hope%20to%20catch%20up%20with%20all%20soon..:)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20have%20been%20away%20from%20kitchen%20all%20these%20while%20too,n%20we%20really%20lived%20on%20some%20simple%20comfy%20food,n%20some%20warm%20dal%20soups,chicken%20soups%20n%20all%20that%20which%20really%20helped..After%20all,its%20officially%20soup%20time%20here..with%20such%20dreary%20dark%20cold%20days%20,%20a%20warm%20bowl%20of%20soup%20is%20all%20that%20we%20need%20to%20stay%20cozy..:)..But%20today's%20post%20is%20no%20soup,but%20again%20a%20spicy%20chicken%20dish%20,one%20from%20my%20drafts..I%20am%20in%20no%20mood%20for%20big%20cooking%20these%20days,n%20so%20planning%20to%20exhaust%20my%20drafts,which%20is%20almost%20a%20void%20now..A%20disgusting%20virus%20attacked%20my%20frail%20old%20somber%20system,n%20I%20had%20to%20reinstall%20the%20whole%20OS,while%20my%20Live%20writer%20died%20taking%20away%20my%20precious%20drafts..sobs..Haa..time%20for%20another%20blogging%20break%20it%20seems..:(%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow,I%20know%20its%20all%20Chicken%20in%20Will-O%E2%80%99-the-Wisp..:P%20..what%20do%20I%20do..I%20am%20just%20a%20sucker%20for%20Non%20veg%20meaty%20stuff%20n%20chicken%20is%20the%20easiest%20one%20around..In%20these%20cold%20days,hot%20spicy%20food%20is%20such%20a%20divine%20way%20to%20indulge%20in%20n%20If%20I%20go%20for%20straight%20one%20week%20without%20meat,I%20go%20crazy%E2%80%A6.:P..After%20these%20feverish%20days%20of%20gulping%20in%20all%20veggie%20food,am%20just%20craving%20for%20some%20non-veg%20..%20cant%20wait%20to%20go%20out%20n%20get%20some%E2%80%A6n%20these%20my%20own%20pics%20are%20a%20torture%20to%20me%20now..:p.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo,today%E2%80%99s%20chicken%20special%20is%20Pepper%20Chicken%20as%20you%20can%20see..A%20spicy,tasty%20chicken%20dish%20cooked%20in%20the%20heat%20of%20Pepper%20corns%20and%20a%20roasted%20coconut%20gravy..The%20thick%20dark%20gravy%20is%20super%20yum%20n%20flavorful..Unlike%20Red%20chilli%20powder,pepper%20corns%20are%20spicy%20in%20a%20different%20way%20with%20a%20subtle%20nutty%20flavor%20n%20leaves%20that%20mild%20tinge%20at%20the%20back%20of%20your%20mouth..:)%20In%20Kerala,we%20are%20blessed%20with%20bountiful%20of%20Peppercorns%20and%20the%20sight%20of%20the%20plants%20drooping%20with%20heavy%20rich%20green%20peppercorns%20is%20a%20delight..Pachakurumalaku%20or%20green%20peppercorns%20are%20the%20epitomes%20of%20fine%20authentic%20taste%20n%20the%20taste%20n%20flavor%20it%20imparts%20to%20a%20dish%20is%20just%20unexplainable%20.Pachakurmulakaracha%20Kozhi%20or%20Tharavu%20/%20chicken%20or%20duck%20roasted%20in%20Green%20Pepper%20corn%20gravy%20is%20an%20ever-so-famous%20preparation%20in%20those%20traditional%20kitchens.In%20Kottayam(%20a%20district%20in%20Kerala)%20Christian%20families,I%20have%20seen%20elderly%20ladies%20plucking%20those%20green%20peppercorns%20from%20the%20plant%20which%20directly%20goes%20into%20that%20day%E2%80%99s%20lunch%20dish,chicken%20or%20duck..How%20cool%20is%20that..:)..But%20we%20less%20fortunate%20people%20have%20to%20do%20with%20the%20dried%20black%20peppercorns,which%20are,%20if%20not%20equal,%20but%20really%20good%20stuff..:)..So,for%20this%20dish,do%20roast%20some%20peppercorns%20n%20grind/use%20them%20to%20get%20the%20maximum%20taste%20n%20flavor..:)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMethod%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20wide%20bottomed%20pan%20heat%20coconut%20oil%20and%20pop%20in%20the%20whole%20garam%20masala%E2%80%99s%20,fennel%20seeds,pepper%20corns%20n%20curry%20leaves.Fry%20under%20low%20heat%20till%20the%20aroma%20fills%20the%20place%20n%20curry%20leaves%20turn%20slightly%20crisp.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20the%20ginger%20n%20garlic%20n%20fry%20till%20raw%20smell%20goes%20off.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow%20add%20the%20thin%20sliced%20onions,chillies,sprinkle%20salt%20n%20saut%C3%A9%20till%20its%20soft.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20the%20Turmeric%20powder,ground%20pepper%20powder%20n%20saut%C3%A9%20for%20a%20while.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPop%20in%20the%20chicken%20pieces%20n%20mix%20with%20the%20onion-spice%20gravy%20base.Add%20salt%20n%20mix%20well.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EClose%20tight%20with%20a%20lid%20n%20simmer.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMeanwhile,In%20another%20pan%20heat%20the%20oil%20n%20add%20the%20curry%20leaves,onion%20slices%20n%20coconut%20flakes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESaut%C3%A9%20under%20low%20heat%20till%20the%20coconut%20turns%20dark%20brown,n%20then%20under%20very%20low%20heat%20ad
