- Place the nectarines and cherries in an ovenproof dish then sprinkle over 1 heaped tbsp granulated sugar.
- Mix the flour with the remaining granulated sugar and the muscovado sugar then rub in the butter till uniformly crumbly.
- Sprinkle over the fruit and bake at 180C/350F/Gas Mark 4 for 40 min till the topping is golden and the juices are bubbling through.
- Eat hot (not warm) with thick cream.
- Serves 4
