Ингредиенты

  • 2 ounce Canola oil
  • 2 lrg onions, minced
  • 2 stalk celery, minced
  • 2 x Bell peppers, minced
  • 3 x Cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 lb Turkey ham, cubed
  • 5 x Chicken breasts, in strips
  • 32 ounce Converted rice (Uncle Ben's)
  • 6 c. Low sodium chicken stock
  • 2 Tbsp. Thyme
  • 1 tsp Powdered bay leaf

Инструкции

  1. In a very heavy 4 qt stockpot, over medium heat, saute/fry trinity and garlic in oil till they are tender.
  2. Add in ham, chicken, rice. Continue to cook, stirring often till rice is slightly browned.
  3. Add in stock, bring to a boil. Reduce to simmer and cover tightly and simmer 30 min.
  4. Remove cover, add in thyme and bay. Continue cooking 15 min, occasionally tossing rice to fluff.
  5. Season with warm sauce to taste.
