- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 lbs bratwurst, sliced
- 2 T oil
- 1 T liquid smoke, optional
- salt and pepper to taste
- 4 quarts water
- 1 can (10-3/4 oz) fiesta cheddar cheese soup
- 1 can (14-1/2 oz) diced tomatoes
- 2 cans (14-1/2 oz) chicken broth
- 1/2 t. dried basil
- 1/2 t. dried parsley flakes
- 1/2 t. dried thyme leaves
- 1-2 t. creole seasoning, or to taste
- 2-4 t. Tapatio hot sauce, or to taste (or hot sauce of your choice)
- 16 oz. Velvetta cheese, cubed
- 1 head fresh cauliflower, steamed and broken into florets
- 2 cups (8 oz.) shredded Wisconsin sharp cheddar cheese
- 4 T. cornstarch
- 1/2 c milk
- Note: 16 oz. frozen, steamed, cauliflower and be substituted for fresh cauliflower
