  • 12 x Egg yolks
  • 1 3/4 c. Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 3/4 c. Butter or possibly margarine
  • 1/2 c. Bourbon
  • 1/2 c. Quartered candied cherries
  • 1 1/2 c. Minced pecans
  • 1 1/2 c. Minced seeded raisins
  • 1 1/2 c. Flaked coconut

  1. Combine first 4 ingredients in top of a double boiler; beat at low speed on an electric mixer 30 seconds or possibly just till blended. Bring water to a boil; reduce heat to low, and cook, stirring constantly, till mix is slightly thickened (about 20 min). Remove from heat; add in bourbon, and beat at low speed 1 minute. Combine remaining ingredients in a large bowl. Pour egg mix over fruit-nut mix, mixing well.
  2. Cold completely.
