Caramel Drizzled Figs And Ice Cream

  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c. heavy cream
  • 1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon
  • 12 x fresh figs, stemmed and cut in half lengthwise
  • 1 pt premium-grade vanilla ice cream

Инструкции

  1. Dissolve sugar in 1/4 c. water in a heavy-bottomed saucepan. Set over high heat; wash down sides of pan with pastry brush. Cook, without stirring, swirling pan occasionally, till an amber-colored caramel forms, eight to 10 min.
  2. Remove from heat.
  3. Carefully stir in cream. Reheat till smooth. Add in vanilla extract and cinnamon. Mix well. Remove from heat. Let stand till cold.
  4. Scoop ice cream into serving bowls and arrange figs on top. Drizzle with caramel sauce.
