- Put hot water in a large bowl and sprinkle yeast over water; let dissolve 5 min. Stir in 1 c. flour, sugar, salt, and oil.
- Beat 3 mintues. Continue adding flour, 1/2 c. at a time and beating well after each addition, till stiff, soft dough is formed. This will take about antoher 1 3/4 c.. Turn dough onto lightly floured surface and knead till it is smooth, elastic and not sticky. Adding more flour if necessary, knead for about 10 min.
- Put dough in a greased bowl, turning to grease all sides. Cover bowl and let rise in a hot place till double in size. apx 1 hour.
- While dough is rising, prepare filling.
