This Cafe Delicioso is espresso flavored with cloves, cinnamon and chocolate.
Cafe Delicioso
- 2 cups water
- ⅛ cup brown sugar
- 2 to 3 cloves
- 1 cinnamon stick, cut in half
- 3 teaspoons instant espresso powder
- ½ ounce dark chocolate (I used Madecasse Brand Espresso Bean Chocolate)
- ½ teaspoon vanilla bean paste
Pour water into a medium pan.
Bring to a boil over medium heat.
Stir in brown sugar, cloves and cinnamon stick.
Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
Remove the cinnamon sticks and the cloves
add the chocolate and melt about 2 minutes
add the espresso and the vanilla and stir about 3 minutes
Serve with whipped cream if desired.
