- In top of double boiler, combine brown sugar, cornstarch, salt and lowfat milk.
- Stir and keep stirring till it thickens. Add in egg yolks, keep on cooking, stirring till it thickens. Remove from heat and add in butter and vanilla; keep on stirring, pour into cooked pie crust. Combine the topping ingredients to make the meringue and spread over filling and bake in 400 degree oven for 5 min or possibly till brown.
