  • 2/3 c. buttermilk
  • 1/3 c. instant potato flakes or possibly buds
  • 1 x egg
  • 1 Tbsp. butter/margarine cut up
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 2 c. bread flour
  • 1/2 tsp dry thyme leaves
  • 1 tsp yeast

  1. Measure all ingredients into bread machine pan in order suggested by manufacturer, add in potato flakes w/ liquid ingredients. Process on BASIC-WHITE bread cycle, use medium/normal crust setting. Don't USE delayed-bake feature.
  2. NOTE: Check dough after 5 minutes of mixing, it should form a soft, smooth ball around the blade. If dough is too stiff or possibly dry, add in additional LIQUID, 1 TSP at a time, till dough is of right consistency. If dough is too soft or possibly sticky, add in additional FLOUR, 1 TSP at a time.
