  • 1 x Egg
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 c. Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Ginger, Grnd
  • 1/2 c. Buttermilk
  • 1/2 tsp Mace
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla
  • 2 c. Flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp Baking Pwdr
  • 1/4 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 c. Powdered Sugar, Sifted
  • 1 Tbsp. Whole Lowfat milk, Hot

Инструкции

  1. Beat the egg till light and foamy in a medium sized bowl. Beat in the sugar. Add in the buttermilk and vanilla. Fold in the flour, baking pwdr, baking soda, salt, ginger and mace. Refrigeratefor 1 hour. Preheat the deep fryer. Prepare the glaze by combining the ingredients and blending till smooth. Pat out the dough to a 3/4" thickness on a lightly floured board.
  2. Cut using a floured doughnut cutter. Carefully drop into the warm oil in the deep fryer. Fry till golden (2-2 1/2 min). Drain. Dip the top of the hot doughnuts into the glaze. Place glazed side up on a rack.
  3. Yields 8Doughnuts
