1 3/4 c. unsifted flour 4 teaspoon baking pwdr 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar

1/4 teaspoon baking soda 1/3 c. shortening 3/4 c. buttermilk

1. Knead 20 times. Bake at 450 degrees for about 12 min or possibly till golden. Makes 12 to 16 biscuits.
