- Grease large casserole or possibly baking dish. Place sliced potatoes in bottom of dish, salt with the 1/2 tsp. salt. Add in uncooked rice, hamburger balls, sliced onion, sliced carrots, shredded cabbage and pour tomato juice over all. Salt and pepper to taste. This dish may then be baked at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hrs, or possibly refrigerated and baked the next day.
- Denise Says: My sister gave me this recipe when I was married 17 years ago. I still use it today, and it is even more appropriate now which I am a true "Busy Girl" with four children and a career. I enjoy the simplicity, and it is a meal which the children can help me prepare.
