Рецепт Build Your Own Burger Bar PLUS A Giveaway
I love Summer BBQ season! Having friends and family over for a day of fun in the sun and of course really fabulous food! Today I’m going to help you create a delicious Build Your Own Burger Bar ! With a few simple tricks you can create a great spread with little effort but have plenty of BOLD flavors! Also friends, be sure to scroll all the way down because Mezzetta is hosting an INCREDIBLE GIVEAWAY and you won’t want to miss it!!
I truly love entertaining but I don’t love spending all my time in the kitchen so one thing I think is an absolute MUST when entertaining is PREP! Whatever you can do ahead of time, do it! I promise it will make life so much easier and you too will be able to enjoy your friends and families company. When creating a Build Your Own Burger Bar there are some basics that are a must like lettuce, tomatoes, red onion and pickles.
To really step up the flavors I LOVE to throw in a variety of Mezzetta Peppers for a huge pop in flavor! I make sure to get something for everyone so I picked up the sweet roasted peppers, the mild pepper rings and the peperoncini. These peppers are the #1 jarred peppers in the US and I just love that they are sourced from local growers from around the world.
Lets talk about the burgers for a minute. I like making my own patties, I think you’re able to add really great flavor easily right into the meat with a little Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt and pepper. I even have a little tip for you to help keep the burgers from shrinking up while grilling. Use your thumb, a melon baller or something similar and gently press an indent in the center of the burger. So simple right?!
I came up with two GREAT burger ideas for you… the first is an Italian inspired burger. Burger patty, lettuce, red onion, mozzarella and Mezzetta Roasted Bell Peppers! Fresh pesto would be a great addition to this burger as well.
For my second burger I wanted to put something with a really great spicy kick so heres what I came up with… Burger patty, lettuce, tomato, red onion, pepper jack cheese and a good ole pile of Mezzetta Deli Sliced Mild Pepper Rings.
Now for that table set up, lets go back to the whole prep thing shall we? All your burger toppings for this ultimate Summer BBQ Build Your Own Burger Bar can be plated ahead of time and kept refrigerated until its time to eat. So go ahead and slice your red onion, tomatoes and plate them with some lettuce leaves. I decided to have 3 cheeses available- mozzarella, cheddar and pepper jack which you can lay out on a dish ahead of time as well. For the peppers I use small leaves of lettuce to create a sort of barrier between the 3 varieties. Now all you have to do is grill the burgers when your ready to eat!
