Happy Spring! Not only is today the first full day of a long awaited spring, it’s time to post our Recipe Redux Challenge for the month of March. This month the theme is celebrating patty, that is the healthy patty.

Burgers or patties, have become quite popular lately, and they aren’t just made with beef. There are veggie patties, fish patties, bean patties, poultry patties, and anything else you can try to put into a pattie! I chose to make a twist on one of my favorite yet not so healthy foods — chicken wings. Adding the hot sauce to ground chicken and topping it with a little bit of bleu cheese at the end of cooking would satisfy the craving for wings.

Buffalo Chicken Burgers

INGREDIENTS

INSTRUCTIONS

Place the ground chicken into a bowl

Mix the hot sauce and olive oil together; and add to the chicken

Add the onion and Flax Seed Meal and mix well

Place in refrigerator for approximately 20 - 30 minutes

Form into patties and grill over medium heat about 10 minutes, flip and grill for 5 to 10 minutes more until done

If desired top with blue cheese the last few minutes before removing from grill.
