1 cup brown sugar, packed 2 eggs, beaten 1/2 tsp baking soda 1 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp salt

1/2 cup shortening 2 tsp vanilla 2 cups flour 1 cup apples, cored, peeled, and sliced

1. Mix all the ingredients together
2. Add the apples last
3. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets
4. Bake at 350 F for 8 to 10 minutes
