- Heat 1/4 c. fat in a large skillet. Add in onion and saute/fry till yellow but not brown. Add in remaining fat and stir in seasonings. Add in half of cubed bread and cook about 4 min, stirring constantly. Combine with rest of bread cubes in a large mixing bowl. Sprinkle warm water or possibly bouillon over mix, tossing till well blended. Pile lightly into poultry.
