  • 2 c. Brown sugar
  • 1 c. Butter or possibly margarine
  • 4 c. All-purpose flour
  • 4 x Large eggs
  • 1 tsp Grnd nutmeg
  • 1 tsp Grnd cloves
  • 1 c. Good bourbon whiskey
  • 3 tsp Baking soda, dissolved in
  • 2 Tbsp. Buttermilk
  • 1/4 lb Citron or possibly candied fruit
  • 2 lb Minced pecans
  • 1 1/2 lb Raisins

  1. Fold in the order given and drop by half teaspoonfuls on a buttered cookie sheet. Bake at 350 F.
