Рецепт Boom, boom, out goes the lights with Food for Sleep
After a couple of weeks, I’ve finally had the chance to use up my six bottles of Food for Sleep, a 2 1/2 ounce drink that’s designed to help you get a good night sleep. Here are the variety of ways I put it to the test:
First bottle
The first night was when my husband was out of town. I usually don’t sleep very well when he’s gone. I decided to take Food for Sleep around 10 pm.
I had been keeping the Food for Sleep shots in the refrigerator, as I know they’d taste a little better. (The cherry juice is rather tart, like a sour yogurt drink.) Also, I was told to shake the bottle vigorously, as the sediment from the cherry juice (which is full of the good stuff that helps you sleep) tends to settle at the bottom of the bottle. Even so I noticed that there still was sediment at the bottom after drinking the entire bottle. So I filled it half way with tap water, shook it up some more until the bottom cleared, and drank that so I got every drop of the good stuff. (I repeated this every time I had a bottle of Food For Sleep.)
I fell to sleep pretty quickly after turning the lights off around 10:30. At 1 am, I woke up needing to go to the bathroom. I was rather surprised – and annoyed – that it didn’t work – or so I thought. I went back to bed and instantly fell asleep.
At 6:15 am my alarm went off and I reluctantly woke up. I really felt like I could have slept for another hour or two.
Second bottle
I took my second bottle following the first night. I didn’t wake up but slept straight through. I felt much more refreshed in the morning that I did the first time. After being skeptical after the first bottle, I felt the second bottle worked much better.
Third bottle
Now that my husband was back, I wanted to see if all the noise and disturbances he makes, like having the TV on, talking to me after I’m asleep, turning on the lights, etc. would be a factor. I fell asleep almost instantly and while did do something to wake me (he often doesn’t realize that I’m asleep), I was able to go back to sleep instantly.
Fourth and fifth bottles
I took two bottles of Food for Sleep with me while we were on a family trip. Unfortunately, my husband was having terrible back pain and needed help getting up in the middle of the night. Even though I had taken Food For Sleep, I was able to wake up, help him, and then quickly get back to sleep.
This makes me think that Food for Sleep would be a good solution for parents with babies and toddlers who are worried about sleeping through a child’s cries during the night. (Same for those people who are caregivers for older sick children, spouses or elderly adults.) My experience makes me feel that the benefit is that you still wake up, but you can function enough to get what you need to do done, and then you can quickly get back to sleep. Try that with a sleeping pill!
Sixth bottle
I took my last bottle when I was back home and having a lot of leg pain one night. I couldn’t get to sleep because the pain was so distracting. Yet Food for Sleep helped me fall asleep quickly.
Boom, boom out goes the lights with Food for Sleep!
Not only did Food for Sleep work for me, but I wish I had more! However, at $4 a bottle, it’s rather pricey. I wish they offered a quantity discount, a frequent buyer discount, or free shipping at a certain price point. I’m hoping as Food for Sleep becomes more popular and they ramp up production, the cost may come down.
Even so, I’ll be buying more Food for Sleep. A good night’s sleep is worth it!
