The Bluegrass Grill was on my list of places to try since the early, cold winter weekday morning (especially cold for the South) that I saw people lined up out the door as I drove past. I thought that they must have something especially good to get people in Chattanooga to brave the cold. Well, it took me close to a year, but I was finally able to dine at the Bluegrass grill. Thankfully, it lived up to my expectations in almost every area.

%20that%20I%20saw%20people%20lined%20up%20out%20the%20door%20as%20I%20drove%20past.%20I%20thought%20that%20they%20must%20have%20something%20especially%20good%20to%20get%20people%20in%20Chattanooga%20to%20brave%20the%20cold.%20Well,%20it%20took%20me%20close%20to%20a%20year,%20but%20I%20was%20finally%20able%20to%20dine%20at%20the%20Bluegrass%20grill.%20Thankfully,%20it%20lived%20up%20to%20my%20expectations%20in%20almost%20every%20area.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOur%20group%20of%20five%20was%20able%20to%20be%20seated%20as%20soon%20as%20a%20table%20was%20expanded,%20which%20was%20just%20after%20our%2011:00%20a.m.%20arrival%20for%20an%20early%20lunch.%20Although%20the%20restaurant%20is%20not%20large%20in%20area,%20the%20number%20of%20tables%20kept%20the%20two%20person%20wait%20staff%20bustling.%20However,%20our%20order%20was%20taken%20relatively%20fast%20by%20a%20very%20pleasant%20employee.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20only%20issue%20came%20after%20our%20taken.%20It%20took%2045%20minutes%20to%20get%20our%20food%20after%20we%20placed%20the%20order.%20Don%E2%80%99t%20get%20me%20wrong;%20I%20did%20not%20anticipate%20ultra-quick,%20fast-food%20service.%20I%20did%20believe%20that%20we%20could%20order,%20be%20served,%20eat%20and%20pay%20within%20the%20hour%20that%20we%20had%20for%20lunch%20considering%20there%20was%20no%20line%20and%20a%20few%20empty%20tables.%20The%20delay%20in%20getting%20our%20food%20would%20not%20have%20bothered%20me%20quite%20as%20much%20if%20I%20had%20not%20noticed%20other%20tables%20that%20came%20in%20later%20than%20us%20getting%20their%20food%20first.%20I%20would%20have%20understood%20if%20even%20one%20member%20of%20our%20group%20had%20ordered%20something%20unusual%20or%20something%20that%20required%20extra%20time,%20but%20we%20that%20was%20not%20the%20case.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELuckily,%20when%20the%20food%20came%20it%20was%20as%20wonderful%20as%20anticipated.%20Everything%20tasted%20like%20it%20was%20scratch%20made%20with%20fresh,%20quality%20ingredients.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20must%20say%20that%20I%20was%20a%20little%20skeptical%20about%20the%20biscuit%20when%20I%20saw%20the%20description%20of%20a%20mix%20of%20white%20and%20whole%20wheat%20flour,%20but%20it%20was%20fantastic!%20No%20wonder%20that%20most%20of%20the%20people%20in%20the%20restaurant%20had%20ordered%20them.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20mushroom%20omelet%20is%20usually%20the%20breakfast%20I%20order%20to%20comparatively%20evaluate%20a%20restaurant,%20so%20I%20ordered%20it%20for%20lunch.%20It%20was%20the%20top%20two%20or%20three%20that%20I%20have%20ever%20eaten%20in%20a%20restaurant.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhen%20I%20go%20back%20I%20am%20going%20to%20order%20what%20my%20daughter%20ate,%20a%20black%20bean%20burrito.%20I%20noticed%20that%20everyone%20at%20the%20table%20next%20to%20us%20were%20were%20eating%20them%20when%20we%20placed%20our%20order.%20My%20daughter%20loves%20breakfast%20burritos%20and%20black%20beans%20and%20she%20loved%20this%20one.%20(It%20is%20barely%20visible%20in%20the%20picture%20as%20it%20is%20on%20the%20other%20side%20of%20the%20grits%20and%20fruit.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20highly%20recommend%20trying%20Bluegrass%20Grill%20if%20you%20are%20in%20Chattanooga%20for%20breakfast%20or%20lunch.%20They%20are%20open%20from%20Tuesday%20through%20Saturday.%20The%20food%20is%20fresh%20and%20wonderful.%20The%20menu%20offers%20something%20for%20everyone%20including%20vegetarians%20and%20those%20wanting%20classic%20southern%20fare.%20The%20service%20is%20friendly%20and%20busy.%20Just%20make%20sure%20you%20allow%20for%20plenty%20of%20time%20for%20the%20experience%20in%20case%20my%20experience%20was%20not%20the%20exception%20and/or%20there%20is%20another%20long%20line%20out%20the%20door%20like%20on%20that%20cold%20winter%20early%20morning%20that%20I%20first%20drove%20past.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBluegrass%20Grill%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
