%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhen%20I%20first%20moved%20over%20here%20to%20the%20UK,%20blueberries%20were%20very%20difficult%20to%20find,%20although%20they%20are%20very%20common%20here%20now.%20I%20remember%20going%20for%20a%20walk%20with%20Todd%20one%20time%20and%20finding%20what%20I%20thought%20were%20blueberries%20growing%20on%20a%20bush!%20I%20had%20never%20seen%20a%20cultivated%20blueberry,%20but%20I%20did%20know%20they%20grew%20on%20bushes%20and%20were%20quite%20a%20bit%20larget.%20I%20was%20so%20excited.%20I%20picked%20one%20and%20made%20Todd%20eat%20it%20right%20then%20and%20there,%20exclaiming%20about%20how%20delicious%20they%20were!%20It%20was%20not%20a%20blueberry.%20To%20this%20day%20I%20don't%20know%20what%20it%20was,%20but%20thankfully%20it%20must%20not%20have%20been%20poisonous%20as%20Todd%20lived%20to%20tell%20the%20tale!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnyways,%20I%20just%20had%20to%20bake%20this%20dessert,%20finding%20out%20it%20came%20from%20a%20Canadian%20source,%20and%20I%20was%20not%20disappointed.%20A%20delicious%20cakey%20base%20stogged%20full%20of%20fresh%20blueberries%20and%20covered%20with%20a%20sour%20cream%20filling%20that%20becomes%20almost%20like%20a%20cheese%20cake.%20It's%20just%20wonderful!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E*Blueberry%20Sour%20Cream%20Dessert%20Cake*%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EServes%208%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESweet%20blueberries%20on%20top%20of%20a%20sponge%20cake%20crust%20and%20covered%20with%20a%20soured%20cream%20topping.%20Rich%20and%20delicious!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFor%20the%20base:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20the%20oven%20to%20180*C/350*F/%20gas%20mark%204.%20Butter%20a%209%20inch%20springform%20tin.%20Set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMeasure%20the%20flour,%20butter,%20sugar,%20baking%20powder%20and%20egg%20into%20a%20bowl%20for%20the%20base.%20Beat%20together%20with%20an%20electric%20whisk%20until%20it%20all%20comes%20together%20as%20a%20soft%20dough.%20Knead%20a%20bit%20and%20then%20shape%20into%20a%20ball.%20Place%20into%20the%20prepared%20pan%20and%20push%20it%20into%20place%20to%20cover%20the%20bottom%20and%20sides.%20Sprinkle%20with%20the%20blueberries.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBeat%20together%20the%20sour%20cream,%20sugar,%20egg%20yolks%20and%20vanilla%20for%20the%20filling.%20Pour%20this%20over%20top%20of%20the%20blueberries.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBake%20for%20about%20an%20hour,%20until%20the%20edges%20are%20golden%20brown%20and%20the%20filling%20is%20just%20set%20in%20the%20middle.%20Leave%20to%20cool%20in%20the%20tin.%20Once%20cold,%20transfer%20to%20a%20serving%20dish.%20Serve%20cold%20with%20extra%20blueberries%20if%20desired%20and%20dusted%20with%20a%20bit%20of%20icing%20sugar.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
