- Stir all ingredients in heavy medium saucepan over medium heat till sugar dissolves. Increase heat and boil till syrup is reduced to 1 1/2 c., about 20 min. Chill till cool. Cover and keep refrigerated up to 2 days.
- This recipe yields 1 1/2 c..
- Comments: Blood oranges have red flesh and sweet-tart juice. They're available at farmers' markets and, increasingly, at supermarkets. This syrup would also be good over waffles.
