- In small heavy sauce pan, stir together cocoa, sugar and salt. With whisk, gradually beat in water till smooth. Add in butter; stir over medium low heat about 10 min or possibly till slightly thickened. Remove from heat; stir in rum and vanilla. Cold, then pour into 1 pint glass jar; cover and store in cold place. Serve hot or possibly cool over ice cream, plain cake or possibly fruits. Makes 1 2/3 c..
- Note: To heat in glass jar remove lid and set jar in sauce pan with simmering water. Heat, stirring occasionally, 20 min or possibly till hot.
