Рецепт Biscuits with Sea Salt { Giveaway Closed}
When I say biscuits, you think cookies, right? Well, at least this is what I used to think, but then I saw the American Biscuits, and boy was I glad!
If you’re not familiar with American Biscuits, then you should know that they are similar to English Scones, but the biscuits are lighter, fluffier and flaky. Scones can be served on their own, with cream, jam, honey, and you can mix different dry fruits in its dough. Scones can be glazed with lemon glaze, chocolate, or strawberry. However, the American Biscuits are served with soup or as a quick bread.
Scones or biscuits, they both tastes amazingly delicious with good quality butter. I use Lurpak in all my baking, and making these biscuits require the best butter you can get. The flavor of a tasty biscuit comes mainly from the butter.
Before sharing the recipe of this delight, let me tell you about the giveaway.

Biscuits with Sea Salt
Recipe type: Breakfast
Cuisine: American
Serves: 5
- 1½ cups all purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- ¾ cup chilled milk
- 9 tablespoons chilled butter cut in small cubes
- Sea salt to sprinkle on top
Preheat oven to 350F – 180C.
In a bowl, whisk all the dry ingredients together.
Add the butter, using dough/pastry cutter, or two forks, cut the butter into the dry ingredients.
Add the milk, and using a fork mix the dough gently, just so it gets wet.
Do not knead this dough or over mix it.
Place the dough on a floured working surface, and dust dough with little flour.
Fold the dough couple or three times on itself, then roll it out about ¾ inch thickness.
I have used a knife to cut but you can use a cookie cutter.
Place the biscuits on baking sheet. Brush with milk and sprinkle with some sea salt.
Bake for 13 -15 minutes or until golden brown and inserted toothpick in the middle of the biscuit comes out clean.
