- Heat butter in a medium saucepan. Add in flour and cook over low heat, stirring constantly for 8-10 min. Don't allow mix to brown. Gradually add in warm lowfat milk to butter-flour mix, stirring constantly with a whisk, till sauce is thickened and smooth. Simmer for 5 min. Strain and keep hot.
- Remove skin and cut sausages into small pcs. Brown in skillet till cooked. Drain off fat and add in sausage to strained warm gravy. Reheat. Add in salt and pepper to taste. Serve over split, warm biscuits. Yield: 3 c..
