- Cream butter and sugar thoroughly. Add in Large eggs, one at a time and beat well. Sift flour, measure, sift again with baking pwdr and salt. Add in to creamed mix. Stir in flavoring and nuts.
- Turn mix onto lightly floured board. Knead till smooth. Divide dough in half. Form 2 rolls the length of a cookie sheet and 1 1/2 inch in diameter.
- Bake in a moderate oven (350 degrees) for 30 min or possibly till rolls are hard to the touch. While still warm, cut rolls crosswise into slices 3/4 inch thick. Lay cut side down on cookie sheet. Return to oven, bake 10 min longer to toast and dry out.
