.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFor%20me,%20though,%20it%20wasn't%20so%20difficult.%20%20Entering%20the%20food%20blogging%20world%20a%20little%20over%20three%20years%20ago,%20I've%20found%20myself%20involved%20in%20a%20community%20filled%20with%20wonderfully%20supportive%20people%20from%20around%20the%20world.%20%20%20Sometimes%20I%20stop%20and%20am%20simply%20amazed%20at%20the%20virtual%20friends%20I%20look%20forward%20to%20catching%20up%20with%20every%20few%20days.%20%20%20I%20feel%20like%20I%20know%20their%20families%20and%20I%20enjoy%20sharing%20a%20cup%20of%20coffee%20over%20some%20of%20the%20fabulous%20food%20that%20shows%20up%20post%20after%20post%20on%20their%20mouthwatering%20blogs.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELiz,%20is%20part%20of%20my%20community,%20and%20I%20feel%20truly%20blessed%20to%20have%20come%20to%20know%20her%20over%20the%20years.%20%20Her%20blog's%20title%20is%20%22That%20Skinny%20Chick%20Can%20Bake%22%20(you%20do%20follow%20her,%20don't%20you??),%20and%20I'm%20here%20to%20vouch%20that,%20indeed%E2%80%A6%20she%20can%20bake!!%20%20Liz%20produces%20recipe%20after%20recipe%20that%20has%20Liv%20asking,%20%22Mom%E2%80%A6%20can%20we%20make%20that?%22,%20and%20every%20one%20we've%20tried%20has%20been%20a%20treat.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20recipe%20is%20no%20different.%20%20As%20a%20matter%20of%20fact,%20Liz%20sent%20this%20post%20to%20me%20last%20week,%20and%20within%20hours%20of%20receiving%20it%20we%20had%20a%20batch%20of%20toasty%20Biscoff%20Toffee%20Cookies%20in%20our%20own%20kitchen.%20%20Liv%20made%20them%20herself%20and%20actually%20brought%20me%20a%20few,%20still%20warm%20from%20the%20oven.%20%20%20Bringing%20the%20rest%20to%20her%20dance%20team%20at%20school,%20Liz%20increased%20her%20San%20Diego%20community%20even%20more,%20and%20now%20has%20a%20High%20School%20Dance%20Team%20all%20agreeing%E2%80%A6%20that%20skinny%20chick%20really%20can%20bake!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELiz%E2%80%A6%20thanks%20not%20only%20for%20the%20cookies%20and%20the%20break,%20but%20for%20making%20my%20community%20a%20better%20place.%20%20One%20of%20these%20days%20I%20hope%20to%20share%20coffee%20and%20a%20treat%20in%20real%20life,%20but%20until%20then%20I'll%20be%20virtually%20tasting%20every%20treat%20that%20comes%20across%20your%20page.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20now,%20I%20give%20you%20Liz!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt%E2%80%99s%20so%20exciting%20to%20be%20guest%20posting%20for%20Kim%20as%20she%20is%20taking%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ea%20well%20deserved%20break.%20I%20met%20Kim%20in%20my%20early%20blogging%20days%E2%80%A6and%20knew%20right%20away%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ethat%20she%20was%20the%20kind%20of%20gal%20I%E2%80%99d%20be%20immediate%20friends%20with%20if%20we%20crossed%20paths%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ein%20real%20life.%20She%20exudes%20warmth%20and%20kindness%20and%20it%E2%80%99s%20obvious%20that%20family%20is%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eher%20priority.%20I%20love%20seeing%20her%20beautiful%20food%20photos,%20recipes%20and%20stories%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eabout%20her%20travels%20and%20children%20on%20her%20blog.%20I%20decided%20to%20share%20some%20irresistible%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ecookies%20that%20would%20be%20perfect%20after%20school%20snacks%20for%20her%20kids%E2%80%A6.and%20yours!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20have%20had%20a%20jar%20of%20crunchy%20Biscoff%20in%20my%20pantry%20way%20longer%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ethan%20I%20care%20to%20admit.%20I%20checked%20the%20expiration%20date%20and%20breathed%20a%20sigh%20of%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Erelief...I%20could%20still%20make%20the%20cookies%20I%20spied%20on%20one%20of%20my%20favorite%20blogs,%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20Cafe%20Sucre%20Farine%20(http://www.thecafesucrefarine.com/).%20I%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ehave%20a%20deep%20love%20of%20toffee,%20so%20I%20knew%20these%20cookies%20with%20a%20cup%20of%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBiscoff%20added%20to%20the%20dough,%20not%20to%20mention%20a%20boatload%20of%20Heath%20Bar%20chunks,%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ewould%20be%20terrific.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThese%20are%20my%20favorite%20new%20cookies%20of%20the%20year.%20The%20shortening%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eadds%20a%20certain%20crispness%20to%20the%20bite%20which%20is%20not%20to%20be%20missed.%20I%20generally%20use%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eall%20butter,%20but%20please%20try%20these%20with%20the%20mixture%20of%20shortening%20and%20butter%20and%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eyou%20won%E2%80%99t%20regret%20it.%20I%20took%20these%20to%20Denver,%20and%20when%20my%20sister,%20Mary,%20sampled%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ethem,%20she%20HAD%20to%20know%20what%20was%20in%20them.%20Outrageously%20delicious,%20you%E2%80%99ll%20be%20asked%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Efor%20the%20recipe,%20too,%20if%20you%20make%20and%20share%20these%20babies.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThanks,%20Kim,%20for%20inviting%20me%20to%20you%20spectacular%20blog!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYou%20can%20find%20me%20and%20my%20recipes%20on%20my%20blog%20and%20these%20social%20media%20sites:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EInstructions%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20oven%20to%20350%C2%BA.%20Line%20baking%20sheets%20with%20parchment.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EUsing%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ea%20mixer,%20combine%20sugar,%20brown%20sugar,%20Biscoff,%20shortening%20and%20butter%20and%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Emix%20until%20well%20combined
