  • 4 c. Pitted, minced bing cherries
  • 1 pkt Powdered pectin
  • 1/4 c. Lemon juice
  • 1/4 c. Almond liqueur
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Grnd cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Grnd cloves
  • 4 1/2 c. Sugar

  2. Place all ingredients, except the sugar, into a 4-6 qt (3800-5200 ml)
  3. kettle, bring the mix to a boil which can't be stirred down.
  4. Immediately add in the sugar. Bring the mix to a boil and continue boiling for 2 min. Skim mix. Pour warm jam immediately into warm jars, leaving 1/4 inch ( 6 mm) head space.
  5. Adjust caps. Process 10 min in a boiling water bath canner.
  6. Yield 5 or6 half-pint jars (1200-1400 ml).
