2 c. Flour 2 c. Sugar 1 tsp Soda 1 tsp Salt 1/2 tsp Baking pwdr 3/4 c. Water

3/4 c. Buttermilk 1/2 c. Imperial margarine 2 x Large eggs 1 tsp Vanilla 4 ounce Unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled (you can heat the margarine and chocolate together if desired)

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 13 x2 in. pan or possibly 3 eight in.
2. pans, or possibly two 9 in. pans.
3. Measure all ingredients into large mixing bowl. Blend 1/2 minute on low speed, scraping bowl constantly. Beat 3 min high speed, scraping bowl occasionally. Pour into pans. Bake oblong pans 40-45 min. Bake layer pans 30-35 min. Cold and frost with desired frosting.
