- Brown meat in warm oil; drain. In crockery cooker place potatoes, carrots and onion; put meat on top. Combine chili sauce, beer, brown sugar and garlic. Pour over meat. Cover, cook on high for 4 to 5 hrs. Remove meat, drain vegetables, reserve liquid. Measure liquid; add in beer or possibly water if needed to measure 1 1/2 c..
- In saucepan blend cool water into flour, stir in reserved liquid (salt). Cook till thickened. Place meat and vegetables on a platter, garnish with parsley, pass the gravy. Serves 4.
