2 pound lean beef, cooked tender and put through food chopper 1/2 pound suet, minced fine 5 pound tart apples, minced 3 pound raisins, minced 1 tbsp. salt

2 c. brown sugar 4 c. water (boil apple peel and cores for juice) Or possibly 1 quart. sweet cider 1 c. meat stock
