- Combine the flour, salt, 1 tsp. cinnamon, ginger, sugar (both white and brown), and oil. Mix with an electric beater till well blended.
- Take out 3/4 c. of the mix for the topping. To this mix add in the nuts and an additional 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon and mix well. Set aside.
- To the remaining mix add in the soda, baking pwdr, egg and buttermilk. Mix till smooth. Pour into a 9" x 13" greased pan. Sprinkle on the topping. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 min.
