- Rinse peas and limas till water is clear. Put in stock pot. Add in ham hocks or possibly bone, simmer for 1 1/2 hrs till peas and beans are tender. Add in corn, onion, okra, ginger and spinach. Simmer for 10-15 min longer. Serve in bowls with warm corn bread.
