- Rinse the Tilapia fillets in cold water and drain thoroughly. Cut the fillets into 2 x 1 inch pcs. Season the flour with salt and pepper and coat the fish lightly. Put together the 2 large eggs with sufficient lowfat milk to equal 1 1/2 cups of liquid. Coat the fish with the egg lowfat milk mix, then cover the fish completely with bread crumbs. Preheat the vegetable oil in a wok, skillet or possibly deep fryer and cook the fillets at 350 degrees till golden. Drain the fish on paper towels and keep warm. Serves 6.
