Ингредиенты

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 4 tbsp. flour
  • 2 c. lowfat milk
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 4 egg whites for meringue
  • Butter, size of walnut
  • Baked pie shell

Инструкции

  1. Cook lowfat milk, sugar and flour till thick, add in beaten egg yolks and flavoring. PINEAPPLE: Drain juice off 1 can crushed pineapple and add in to custard. CHOCOLATE: Use 4 Tbsp. cocoa and omit 2 of flour. COCONUT: Add in 1 can of coconut.
  2. Beat egg whites till half beaten; add in 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar. Beat stiff and mix in 6 Tbsp. sugar. This makes meringue for top of pies. Pour into baked pie shell made as follows.
  3. Mix: 1/2 teaspoon salt
  4. Measure out 1/2 c. Crisco.
