  • 1/2 c. extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 c. balsamic vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 4 x thick t-bone steaks with fillet in

  1. Combine oil, vinegar, ginger & sugar in jar, shake well. Reserve 1/4 c. of the vinegar mix; brush steaks all over using about half of remaining mix. Cover; stand 10 min. Preheat oven to moderate. Cook beef on heated oiled grill plate (or possibly grill or possibly barbecue) till browned on both sides. Place beef on oven tray; cook, uncovered in moderate oven about 15 min or possibly till cooked as desired, brushing occasionally with remaining vinegar mix. Remove beef from oven, cover, stand 10 min. Just before serving, pour reserved vinegar mix over beef.
