%20).%20Just%20few%20small%20plans%20of%20what%20I%20should%20achieve%20or%20what%20my%20family%20should%20achieve%20in%20the%20new%20year%20and%20generally%20try%20to%20achieve%20atleast%20those%20goals.%20I%20love%20a%20fresh%20start%20to%20anything%20and%20like%20to%20consider%20the%20New%20Year%20as%20a%20perfect%20way%20to%20make%20yourself%20believe%20in%20starting%20afresh%20to%20several%20things%20that%20you%20slept%20over%20in%20the%20previous%20year.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWell,%20last%20year%20I%20had%20shared%20a%20quick%20and%20simple%20recipe%20for%20baked%20Turkey%20meatballs.%20I%20find%20them%20so%20easy%20to%20make%20and%20so%20versatile%20that%20it%20can%20be%20transformed%20into%20an%20appetizer%20or%20entree%20as%20required.%20I%20have%20used%20them%20in%20soups,%20spicy%20masala%20gravy%20dishes%20and%20also%20transformed%20them%20into%20a%20bunch%20of%20appetizer%20dishes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOne%20of%20our%20favorite%20was%20this%20Berry%20BBQ%20sauce%20that%20I%20made%20to%20coat%20the%20meatballs%20with.%20It%20was%20fruity,%20spicy,%20sweet%20yet%20tart,%20in%20all%20it%20was%20a%20fusion%20of%20all%20kinds%20of%20flavors.%20I%20actually%20made%20the%20Berry%20BBQ%20sauce%20using%20some%20leftover%20homemade%20Mixed%20Berry%20compote....yes,%20fruit%20compote%20which%20I%20used%20for%20some%20cupcakes%20:-)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20love%20fusion%20flavors%20like%20Mango%20chicken,%20Orange%20chicken%20etc...so%20that's%20how%20this%20idea%20came%20to%20my%20mind%20to%20convert%20the%20mixed%20berry%20compote%20into%20a%20bbq%20sauce.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20made%20this%20once%20to%20take%20to%20a%20friends%20place%20for%20a%20casual%20get-together%20and%20she%20came%20back%20asking%20for%20the%20recipe%20and%20wanted%20me%20to%20quickly%20share%20it%20on%20the%20blog.%20I%20wasn't%20sure%20if%20I%20would%20get%20it%20on%20the%20blog%20so%20fast,%20so%20I%20gave%20her%20the%20recipe%20and%20she%20promptly%20tried%20it%20and%20gave%20a%20full%20thumbs%20up%20on%20the%20recipe.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20again%20took%20these%20for%20a%20Thanksgiving%20potluck%20and%20there%20too%20everyone%20raved%20about%20the%20taste%20and%20wanted%20to%20know%20how%20it%20was%20made%20:)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20inspiration%20for%20the%20BBQ%20berry%20sauce%20is%20Asha's%20recipe%20and%20I%20spiced%20it%20up%20a%20bit%20based%20on%20our%20tastes%20and%20availability%20of%20ingredients%20and%20added%20some%20herbs%20for%20bit%20more%20flavor.%20It's%20a%20very%20adaptable%20recipe%20and%20I%20can't%20wait%20to%20try%20out%20more%20varities%20with%20it.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2%20Tblsp%20Worcestershire%20Sauce/Soy%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESauce%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECorriander%20Leaves%20/%20Mint%20Leaves%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eas%20needed%20for%20Garnish%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDirections%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFor%20Baked%20Turkey%20Meatballs%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1.%20Pre-heat%20oven%20to%20400%20F.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2.%20Combine%20all%20the%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eingredients%20in%20a%20large%20bowl%20and%20mix%20well%20with%20hands%20until%20properly%20incorporated.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E3.%20Use%20a%20melon%20baller%20to%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Escoop%20out%20equal%20sized%20balls%20and%20place%20them%20on%20a%20baking%20sheet%20covered%20with%20wax/parchment%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Epaper.%20This%20makes%20about%2035-40%20mini%20meatballs.%20Use%20an%20icecream%20scoop%20or%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETablespoon%20for%20bigger%20meatballs.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E4.%20Bake%20in%20oven%20for%2013-15%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Emins.%20%20(Do%20not%20over-bake).%20Let%20the%20meatballs%20cool%20on%20a%20wire%20rack.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1.%20Heat%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOil%20in%20a%20saucepan.%20%20Add%20the%20fennel,%20seeds%20cumin%20seeds,%20red%20onion,%20green%20chillies%20and%20saute%20well.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2.%20Add%20all%20the%20other%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eingredients%20and%20let%20it%20simmer%20for%2015-20%20minutes%20or%20until%20it%20is%20almost%20reduced%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eto%20half%20it%E2%80%99s%20original%20quantity.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFinally,%20combine%20around%2015-20%20of%20the%20baked%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eturkey%20meatballs%20into%20the%20Berry%20Bqq%20sauce%20and%20simmer%20for%205%20mins%20on%20low%20heat.%20Turn%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eoff%20the%20heat.%20Garnish%20with%20chopped%20coriander%20or%20Mint%20leaves.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENote:%20You%20may%20have%20to%20double%20the%20recipe%20for%20the%20bbq%20sauce%20for%20coating%20the%20whole%20batch%20of%20baked%20meatballs.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E**%20Mixed%20Berry%20Compote:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%201%20cup%20frozen%20mixed%20berries,%203-4%20Tblsp%20%20Sugar%20and%201%20TBlsp%20Lemon%20Juice%20in%20a%20pan%20and%20cook%20until%20the%20sugar%20melts%20and%20the%20compote%20thickens.%20Use%202-3%20tsp%20cornstarch%20to%20thicken%20the%20compote%20if%20needed.%20Let%20it%20cool%20completely%20and%20use%20as%20needed.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E-Manju%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
