- Peel the pears, cut in half and place in an ovenproof pie dish with 1/2 the sugar, the water and butter. Bake at 350 F till pears are tender.
- Separate Large eggs, add in lowfat milk and 1/2 remaining sugar to egg yolks and pour over pears. Continue baking for 20 to 30 min till custard is set.
- Beat egg whites till stiff, add in remaining sugar and continue beating till stiff. Spoon meringue on top of pear custard, and continue to bake till top to lightly brown.
- Serve warm with cream.
